Me again with a new problem
Yesterday a stuck pixel appeared on the screen of my week old t61! Does anybody know about the replacement policy? I wouldn't want to have to work on a computer that has that pixel in the middle, it's really annoying.
    Thank you.

Yeah 16 dead pixels is a little out of control.

    Wow!! That's ridiculous!!!!
Thank you. I'm gonna try to talk a rep into it because I'm also returning the computer because of a faulty sound card.

    Hi there,

I just got my T61 on Monday (after ordering on 5/11, but that's another story). Anyway, I am generally happy with it, but I did notice a stuck pixel on my screen a couple of days after getting it.. Luckily I was able to get rid of it using this program ( http://www.jscreenfix.com/). Hopefully it will not return...

Maybe this will work for you..

    Good Luck!

id really like to see the higher standards, Samsung has offered a zero dead pixel policy in their homecountry (korea) for a few years now...you would think the industry would tighen up the standards a bit...i know that affects the bottom dollar, but man, do stuck pixels suck

Some of the LCD screens are manufactured right in Korea, so it isn't too much for them to offer zero dead pixel policy. And any service in Korea and Japan is superb.

Ive had a similar issue, a pixel remains white, but after I restart the system the pixel is fine again. That doesn't work for you?

Had that problem before. There is a issue with the nav control driver software or specifically scroll function. Hit Fn and F8 I believe, go into the trackpoint or trackpad control and turn off the function that allows you to scroll web pages by running your finger along the edges of the trackpad. I turned it off, and in my case even disabled the trackpoint (since I don't use it) and then reboot, after rebooting you should never see those again. Good luck.
