The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Well, after pondering if I should get the 8744J2U or 8744C9U (Vista or XPP), I finally decided to stay w/ XPP as I am not quite ready to upgrade all the software packages I use.

    I ended up having to call in the order as the site no longer allows for the ordering of preconfigured systems, only CTO's, not really a big deal but it was much easier to check cost & availability before.
