When can we expect the student discount program to get going?
-
What do you mean? There is always 10% off for most college students:
Lenovo - Students -
Yep. I ordered my X120e through Lenovo's Student site.
-
For some reason I thought it was seasonal.
I don't suppose we'll see coupons for new models in the near future and that they'll be stackable with the student discount?
-
Will the student discount stack with a the googleshop coupon??
-
I already tried it, doesn't work.
-
Is the student discount around 15-20%? Because it doesn't make sense to be a student now if you can just buy a lenovo as a regular joe and use the 10% coupons floating around.
-
Once you get to the student page, go to "special offers" they usually have other coupons for students. But a lot of the time, these "student deals" are not the best deals.
Just checked, right now there are also additional 10% off coupons for the student page. -
It depends on how long the GOOGLESHOP coupon will be valid for and whether they release any new ones when the new products become available. If there are no coupons for the regular store, 10% student discount is obviously better than nothing. Right now, there's an extra X201 coupon also valid in the student store. It's really circumstantial.
Do other manufacturers charge tax on online orders like Lenovo? -
Manufacturers are required by US law to charge tax if they have operations (defined more specifically, but I don't know the details) in the state of the buyer. So yes, HP, Dell, etc all charge tax on their orders.
The student site seems to have roughly the same coupon discounts, stacked on top of the student discount. So, overall, you can get better deals there. -
alaska and oregon are the only two states lenovo doesn't charge tax.
-
+ Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire ?
-
No sale tax there.
