On the Lenovo Oulet, there are a bunch of listings for refurb X200s. I know they all have Intel integrated graphics, but the specific item varies: X4500, X4500HD, or X4500MHD. Is there any difference between the X4500 and X4500HD (or MHD)?
-
the x4500MHD has a capable 1080p playback while the regular x4500 does not make that claim.
BTW, the X4500MHD is the laptop version. The X4500HD is the desktop version -
Yes, I know there's a difference between the specific Intel models, but do the refurb X200s actually have different hardware, or is it just Lenovo being stupid as usual? Don't all the X200s have the same graphics hardware?
-
Probably a typo. The outlet is riddled with them.
-
According to the tabook, it's the MHD.
-
I've heard that all mobile Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X4500 chipsets are MHD, and that the distinction between M and MHD only exists in desktops.
Regardless, the X200s only uses GMA 4500MHD, so it's Lenovo typos as usual. -
lenovo doesn't offer X200 models with the non-MHD GMA chipset. even the lowly celeron-equipped X200s models come with the GMA X4500MHD.
as others have said, it's a typo. -

When the current chipsets were introduced last year, I understood that the GL40 was the budget model and it had the GMA 4500M...and the GM45/GS45 had the GMA 4500MHD. Based on that, it appeared that the GL40/GMA 4500M didn't support HD....but that is incorrect! I
According to Wikipedia, the GL40, GM45 and GS45 all have the GMA 4500MHD, but the graphics core has a slower clock rate on the GL40 (380MHz vs. 533MHz)...but all mobile versions of the GMA 4500 allegedly support HD.
Stupid X200 graphics question
