The screen suddenly turned gray on my Z60m when my dial-up disconnected this morning. It wasn't left turned-on overnight. The indicator lights are as is everything else except for the display.

I tried ctrl-alt-del but nothing happened so I put it on sleep mode and woke it up again. It worked.

What could have been the problem?

The system might have been hung up on something...I have had it happen on my desktop before. As long as it doesn't happen a lot I wouldn't be too concerned.

If it does it twice maybe you should be concerned.

My IBM T43 with upgraded 2GB RAM have just rebooted because of this problem. IIRC, this is the fourth or the fifth time I've encountered this problem. This problem occurs infrequently but suddenly. Anyone have any idea why?
