Hi guys,
I have a T500 with the Radeon HD 3650 switchable graphics running windows 7 64 bit.
Yesterday I tried switching from integrated to discrete graphics and it wasn't working. Literally nothing would happen when I clicked on it. I tried reinstalling the driver for my video card, but I got the blue screen of death when my computer restarted. I reinstalled Windows, and when I try installing the driver it hangs on enumerating source media for installable packages. I had to use task manager to kill the process. When I boot up windows I get an error message saying I am missing MOM.implementation or something along those lines.
I tried going into the BIOS and making discrete graphics the default, and disabling switchable graphics all together and when I turned my computer on the screen was just black. Even before windows started it was completely black. To get back into the bios I held f1, then hit f9 to restore the bios to default settings, then reboot my computer on the integrated graphics.
Does it sound like my discrete card is fried? I cannot figure out how to make it work. My laptop is under warranty and I have the box to ship it to the EasyServ depot in front of me.
I have not heard the best things about EasyServ, and I don't want to go without my computer if I don't have too.
Does anyone know what the problem could be, or is the card most likely fried?
Thanks for reading this long post!
P.S. I am using the driver from the lenovo website and My operating system is up to date

Make sure you've set your BIOS to switchable, and look at this thread about the new ATI CCC software that resolves some problems with switchable graphics in W7. Read all the posts, and then try installing the linked installers (your screen will go black after installation, and you'll need to reboot).

I got the error message Could not load file or assembly 'MOM.Implementation' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

it seems that your ATI (now AMD) driver stopped working. You should try to remove completely it, and then reinstall new version (as MidnightSun pointed out)

Yes It stopped working on my previous install of windows, then I completely deleted windows from my hard drive, and reinstalled it, now the driver will not even install without hanging or giving me an error message.

Have you tried uninstalling it while you're in safe mode, then rebooting into safe mode, then installing the new ATI CCC driver package?

After I finish my Homework I am going to try another clean install of Windows 7, then I will install the Driver you linked me to. If that doesn't work I am sending it in. I will let you know if it worked or not after I try it. Thanks for your posts I really appreciate it!
