Why? Well Virtualization is why. The p8600 handles this much better then the sl9400 and sadly with the 3 VMs open I need the x200s is choppy at best. Most times it seems frozen. It was a great couple of months but out of the cluster comes the t400 and into the cluster goes the x200s. Sad and happy all at the same time.

Nope. My needs change every so often. Hell in a few months you could see a thread about switching back to the x200s from the t400. :p

edit: Thank God they are making thinkpads that can get 23 hours of battery life and have quad core chips. in a year or so Ill get a w5XX and a tablet setup so I wont have to change.

No doubts there at all. The x200s is a great machine and I'm hoping to get about 2 more years out of my t400 and x200s. It all depends on needs and how long they last as I beat on them pretty hard. The x200s has a warranty until november this year but the t400 is out of warranty. If they make it another 2 years ill be able to get a top end laptop (thinking w5XX with dual battery)

Would take a nice offer to part with the x200s. Same goes for my t400.
