I was wondering why these features are not offered by Lenovo. I upgraded to the latest driver through update, but was unable to find Chiral Motion & other finger gesture features.

Does anyone know how to activate these features, or do we have to wait for Lenovo?

Check the thinkpads.com forum. They have been both building their own utility that hooks into the synaptics api as well as dabbled with different generic synaptics drivers that feature "hidden" registry settings enabling other gestures.
