Can someone tell, what exactly this Lenovo System Interface Driver does? I find no useful information on Lenovo Page for itAfter receiving my laptop, I decided to do clean Vista install because of heavy lagging with multitasking - even my old dual core system was performing faster then core 2 on Lenovo.
After clean install the lagging is gone. But I need to be very careful with what I install here now, because obviously some of pre-installed things caused the crap performance.
All I found about this driver is
"This is a necessary program for ThinkPad and 3000 systems. This program is used by many other programs. This package provides the following utility program for Microsoft Windows Vista users:
- Lenovo System Interface Driver"
Many other programs???What are those many other programs then, why are they not listed in description
Maybe I won't even install those "many other programs", so I wont need it.
Anyone know what this driver exactly does?![]()

Thanks for replies
Guess I go and install it thenEven only Fn+F5 is not working at moment, all other hotkeys work.
I never understood that thing with all those double buttons, like why there are Fn keys for volume, if there are already separate media keys on laptop, or button + hotkey for wirelessAnd no monitor off key at all on N200
Who ever programmed those buttons, must was heavy music/wireless user, being aftraid too intensive use will brake something, so there is a "backup" for everything
