I broke my hard drive and had to put a new one in, it's a WD Black series. I reinstalled Windows 7 and have since noticed that while I deactivate my trackpad in the ultra-nav control panel, upon restart that setting reverts back to "on"....has this been seen by anyone before?

I did download and install all the windows 7 drivers from the lenovo page on the new hard drive just like I did when first upgrading from Vista.

    Thanks.

    Bueller bueller?

I deleted and reinstalled the ultra nav drivers and same deal, the settings don't keep after a restart and the track pad is active again...

I saw a similar issue with the UltraNav drivers and utility. I would always press the center button 3 times in about 2 seconds, and a pop-up would come up asking me if I want to learn about how to use the center button. I would click no and check off that I don't want to see this message again, but after restarting or suspend, the same pop-up would come up again. So my guess is that the UltraNav utility is not so good at storing your preferences.

My solution has been to use the new Synaptics driver that came out. I wrote a thread about it here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/lenovo-ibm/471015-new-synaptics-driver.html

I just checked, and you can disable one pointing device or the other, so I think it might be the best solution. But if you want to stick to the Thinkpad drivers, then I don't have any other advice for you, other than keep an eye out for driver updates.

Thank you very much :) - I get the same message when hitting those buttons.

Another problem I noticed now is that I can only change the brightness using the keypad controls when using the integrated graphics.
