Office 2010 was officially launched today, any idea when systems will ship with 2010 instead of coming with the free upgrade? The woman I spoke to at Lenovo told me October 31st, I thought there was no point continuing to probe for an answer at that point.

Only official Lenovo staffers whom are involved in this department would give you a absolute answer.

I received a Lenovo y560 yesterday and it was pre-loaded with Office 2010 Starter edition.

    Can anyone else confirm this?

Why is Lenovo so slow to update their website? They still say machine ship with Norton Internet Security 2009 which they stopped selling a year ago. Dell, HP all show systems as shipping with Office 2010.

The way to do it was to get Office 2007 from Amazon shortly before the Office 2010 release, when amazon was selling it for $99 shipped (it's still discounted to where you can save $10 this way). Then you can go ahead and get the free 2010 upgrade <--- this btw is why it doesn't really matter if it's shipping with 2007 or 2010.

    ^^Thanks.

Has anyone actually ordered a copy of Office with their machine and gotten the 2010 version? I called the sales line today and they still have no clue what is going on.

Are systems coming pre-loaded with Norton Internet Security 2009 or 2010?
