I've a T530 with a backlit keyboard which works great except for the function keys row, the back light is strong on the F6/F7 keys then it spreads out unevenly to the rest of them, barely reaching Esc and almost not even reaching the Delete key. Does anyone else have this?

    I'll upload a picture later

Yep...I was going to put this in my review of it. Pretty bad on mine as well. Works great on the rest of the keyboard...

Well, I took the keyboard apart, there are two LED's inserted into a membrane, one of them points right and the other left, they are located just underneath the F6/7 keys. I reseated the membrane (it's glued in place) and reinserted the LED's, applying pressure to make sure it was in place and there was no light leakage. It's certainly better now, at least light now reaches the Delete key but it still isn't perfect, light is still more focused on the F6 key. I wouldn't expect this type of problem from a Thinkpad though.

Was taking apart the keyboard really involved? Can't believe you got into it so much.

Yep, I didn't expect this from a thinkpad either :-(
