    Hey,
    I've been surfing for a while and am pretty set on getting a T61p although I'm worried that a new model will come out the second I get mine. I would love an LED screen... is there any news on the t series being updated anytime soon?

    Not promising anything, but if you can wait 4-6 months, there's a pretty good chance there will be a T series revision with the refresh of graphic cards and the new Intel Montevina platform.

    Otherwise, if you need now, there's never a bad time to buy.

    There's always a new model coming, it's just a matter of when. If need then buy. It's kind of a vicious circle.

    Thanks for the responses. The main thing im really concerned about is a LED screen coming out soon. I recently bought a macbook and realized I dont really like it and I should have went with lenovo from the beginning (when i bought the macbook there was 4-5 wk wait for the lenovo).. I'm going to sell the macbook and buy the T61p..

    I seem to recall your writing about the thinkpad you ordered last summer, around the time of the Memorial Day sale.

    Still, no qn, they do rock.

    The best purchase I made in 2007, unquestionably my ThinkPad T61.

    Screen quality is also my biggest concern when it comes to laptops. Read some threads in here concerning viewing angles and such...
