Im looking to buy a used T21..it has the following specs:
    Microsoft Windows XP Professional
    Microsoft Office2003 Professional Installed
    Intel Pentium III 800Mhz
    256 MB RAM Memory
    20GB Hard Drive
..All for 175 dollars..is that a good deal for just a laptop to lay around the pool with? As you can see in my specs I already have a mainstream desktop.

My question is though, I need to make this laptop wireless. So obviously I need to get a wireless card, can anyone suggest one that will work with this laptop? -post a link or such so I can take a look at what I need. Thanks!! :p

I don't think that the T21 has an internal slot for a wireless card, so the solution would be to buy a PC card with wireless capabilities. I'm pretty sure any will work, I've used about four different cards in my 600X with success in each.

Yeah I was referring to the PC card, well that lifts my hopes that you've used four different cards. I was thinking since its an older laptop it might be harder to find one.

Alternatively, you could use a USB wireless solution. Although when I used one, it dropped the connection a lot more than the PC Cards (and was located right next to the router, too, whereas the PC Cards were across the house). Maybe I just had bad luck.

My opinion, if you are not in a hurry (not going to be lying around any pools in Canton, Ohio for awhile...), save some more money until you can get a T4X series for $400-600. A real , usable computer, with core duo, and built in wireless... I think you will only be buying frustration by today's standards with a T21 series.

Well i did end up purchasing the T21, Honestly my budget was right around there. I'm a young kid who's still a student and just wanted a laptop to mess around with and take out by the pool in the summer and just to play with. I have a pretty well set desktop if i needed to preform any major task so I think it was an alright buy. When i head off to college in 2 years I'll get a new laptop anyway

Congrats! Hope you enjoy the new TP. Those things are built like rocks, it should last you through college at the very least.
