I used a T30 1024x768 (Pentium 4), and it was the best monitor I have seen even till today IMO, and I've used multiple cheapo laptops from HP and lenovo G series.

Anyone knows what was the brightness/contrast/black values of that old screen ?

I want to know what specification should I be looking for in any future laptop screen.

    Good luck with that one.

The screens that were seen in T30 are unique to that particular series, and haven't been used in other ThinkPads.

Both XGA panels were rated at 150 nits from the factory.

    LG-Philips model LP141X12 and Samsung model LTN141XE

Try searching the web for info on contrast ratio and black values...

    Thanks

It turned out to be a CCFL monitor, unlike the newest LED/WLED found in almost all laptops

LED's have only really been standard since like 2010. I know Toshiba still had some dual CCFL 16" panels until like 2011, and I remember they were CCFL because the 16" 720p panel was like 3x the normal price.
