My T40 (about 4 years old) has started to beep at me. Everything works fine as far as I can tell. It happens periodically --without any apparent cause it will start beeping at me, 3 quick beeps at a time, continuously (3 beeps, about half a second pause, then again). I don't have much monitoring software so I am not sure how to pinpoint the problem. Harddrive seems fine, and the fan seems fine, no errors have appear. It will continue even if I put it to sleep, though sometimes it will stop on its own. Any options for me?
    Thanks
    mike

Did you run PC-Doctor? Maybe try reseating the memory.
