    Hello guys,

Recently when i first start my T40, it shuts down after showing "fan error" on screen with two short beep. Usually i can login to Windows after trying the second time. But fan starts with some abnormal noise during second time then stops (Does system everytime check hardwares before it starts?).
After login Windows, fan works fine. I also tested by using tpfancontrol, seems everything is ok. Could anyone tell me what's going on? Thanks alot.

My first guess is a sensor is going bad. Like on my geforce 6800 in my pc the heat sensor has went bad every once in awhile it will say cards overheated when its ice cold.
