But all the links are dead. Still you can drool over the specs and prices.![]()
-
I see no prices for the T400, but I see them for the T500
-
We have prices for the T400 in Canada but not for the T500. T400 starts at 909.00 apparently in the great white north.
-
Got a great deal on my T400!
-
The T400 series has two choices, integrated, or discrete graphics. I though they all had hybrid graphics, yet the site does not mention anything about it. What's the deal?
-
the t400 apparently has a 3640 too, gotta love the launch typos

Did a little search and found links to all of the official spec sheets
http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/landing_pages/info/08/montevina -
I think its just a typo, as there is no such thing as a 3640. On the Canadian site there still listed as M86M for the 500 and M82XT on the 400.
-
X200 is the same way... I'm so ready to buy ( starting at $1494
)
But I think I should figure out where I'm shipping it to (ie my dorm room at b-school)
-
Nice, I was just looking to buy a new laptop today. Lenovo does such a **** poor job at making sure their website is displaying information correctly. With my last ThinkPad, they had pricing all messed up with hard drives for almost a day and I had to wait until it was fixed before my order would even go through.
I seriously hope there isn't a $300 price premium on the R400 vs the R61 as the site lists now. -

Oh man I really want to replace my T60 now with one of those new W500's. Anyone want to give me some cash in exchange for cases of diet coke in my garage?
-
x200 price is higher than listed on that XLS spreadsheet. I am wondering whether that's just them updating their website and if we'll see the real prices tomorrow.
-
USXSUMMERHEAT - 15% off if you have a Visa card
-
Can someone tell me, or point me to a thread that explains the difference between the W500 and T500? Is it just the graphics card? Thanks
-
The W500 starts at $1900? Damn...
-
geez, you can't even customize and see prices for the T400
-
Prices are indeed quite a bit higher than found on earlier spec sheets...
-
...well I'm not going to be able to buy this tonight, so au demain!
-
Wtf @ X200 price.
-
Funny how everyone thought these would be priced reasonably when they came out. Looks like no discrete option for the R series either. Cheapest T with discrete graphics starts at $1280
For a second I thought I'd regret buying a t61, but no. I'd love a w500 though once the prices drop.
yeah personally i'd skip the x200 and just go for a x61, they're both the same size but you lose about an inch of screen height thanks to the bezel(and wxga) -
10-20% cash back if you use Microsoft Live Cash Back, takes 60 days, but it isn't bad!
-
God damnit I want my T400 =(
But lol, I can't imagine how chaotic their office must be right now. "WHAT THE HELL WHY DOES IT SAY ZERO DOLLARS. SOMEONE TELL ME NOW". "We're sorry sir, we can't figure it out!". -
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now the up on the site with prices !!!!!!!
T400 starts at 1130$ for 14,1" (integrated graphics) and 1159$ for T500. They`re configurable now with prices for updates.

There's no details about the graphic card. On the spec, said it is switchable, but when customize it, switchable is not mentioned....
-
-
I hope there will be a review of the T500 or W500 here on Notebookreview today.
-
Base price for W500 is $1,904 with the T9400 CPU. However, if you pick the faster T9600 they subtract and you end up with $1,629... This is just one of many amazing typos they have.
-
how come:
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T9600 (2.8GHz 1066MHz 6MBL2)
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T9400 (2.53GHz 1066MHz 6MBL2) [add $275.00]
the T9600 is cheaper than T9400 ?! -
Yes, I noticed that. Also, you can only upgrade ur RAM to 3 gb. COME ON!
-
Can't believe that a giant corporation like Lenovo has made such a unacceptable mistake...
-
-
And where are the LED screens? For T500 none is available. For W500, WUXGA is LED if CCFL is not mentioned?
-
I swear, for such a reputation for quality product, Lenovo's ecommerce site is an embarrassment.
-
Anyone know when there'll be availability in Europe, specifically the UK?
-
Hahaha, u r right SneakR, my bad.
well, i think everything will be corrected in the day -
Wonder if the guy in charge of the ecommerce site has a job after this launch?
Got my cart saved on a T400, just debating on pulling the trigger or waiting to see if any other "price changes" happen as they get going through the day. -
-
I'm 99% sure that it's true.
-
And I believe it is not mentioned anywhere if the ATI cards use DDR2 or DDR3 memory.
-
So is there an official word yet about the switchable graphics?
-
Get improved battery life and lower energy consumption than discrete graphics systems with ThinkPad T Series' new switchable graphics feature. And don't worry; switchable graphics are easy to use. You can hot key between Performance or Power Saving graphics modes, or switch via the software user interface. No reboot is required to switch modes, and one unified driver covers both discrete and integrated graphics. Whether you need high-end graphics support, or to stretch your computing time, Switchable Graphics has you covered. -
Hmmm...Was going to cancel my Dell order and pick up the new T500, but the estimated 2-3 weeks shipping actually translates into a 9/19 ship date once you try to check out. Anyone call about shipping times?
-
Neither one says hybrid graphics on the buy page so I am a bit confused. -
-
Hmmm...easy enough to get through. They couldn't give a firm answer on the ship date, since it's a new product. Likely would be closer to the 9/19 date, at least from what they told me.
-
Thanks for clearing that up Generator. What card is actually in the discrete one since the 3640 appears to be a typo.
-
Here are the datasheets that have been posted before. They will tell you what you need to know.
-
Is the site crashing for everyone else? Saying, "Unfortunately, Your Session Has Expired!"?
-
Someone on another site pointed out that the screen is slightly off-centered, relative to the frame/lid. Looking at some of the pictures, looks like he's right. Can anyone confirm whether or not it is really the case? If so, why? Has it always been like that with the T series? Wouldn't it be a bit annoying?
T400 / T500 / W500 Up!
