    Hi,

10 days ago I bought a new T400 with LED backlight (2767WC8). Yesterday I noticed some kind of waving-effect in the center of the screen.

Please have a look at the following youtube video, I recorded: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6cnaYhioIg

This appears when the laptop is wobbling lightly, for expample when someone is knocking on the table. I can also reproduce this effect by pressing slightly on the back of the top right side of the screen.

This effect only appears when the laptop is switched on for at least one hour and is not viewable with every background. You can`t see it with a simple black or white background, but it is for example viewable with the classical blue/green background of the older Windows versions.

Is anyone else with a T400 experiencing a similar issue? Would this be covered by the guarantee?

    Thanks for your answers!

i think the rollcage in the lcd is not mounted correctly. I can reproduce the effect only by pressing on the back of the display.

you will be covered by warranty (unless it was damaged by you), give them a call
