    T400 & x200 OS recovery media the same?

    hello.

    so i have a T400 & a x200 and recovery media for both.

    my T400 came with XP recovery media.
    my x200 came with Vista recovery media.

    aside from the #2 disc containing drivers and thinkvantage stuff, will the primary OS recovery disc work on both machines?

    Not likely. Even if the hardware was similar or the same, the recovery disks are configured to perform a factory recovery only on the computer it was designed for.
