I am (almost) ready to order the long awaited T400 with LED screen, plus Advanced Dock and Lenovo L220X monitor.

A bit of history on my decision ...

    - Had several Thinkpads; my current X31 is a true workhorse
    - Bought Dell Inspiron 5100 three years ago to serve as a home system; no more Dells
    - Looked at Sony FW series; nice laptop but no past performance record
    - Looked at Dell E Series Latitude; no more Dells
    - Looked at Macbook Pro; great design but it has Nvidia GPU; too much money and too much risk
    - HP Elite Book series laptops are promising but not here yet

OK - T400 it is unless Lenovo offers LED screen in T500 soon.

Does anyone have T400, Advanced Dock, and Lenovo L220x monitor (connected via DVI port)? I am concerned about L220x reported less-than-perfect text clarity as reported in this thread:
