I had my mind set on the newest Sony Vaio CW, but after hearing bad things about its screen and not so stellar build quality I've started to look elsewhere. I've also been looking at the MBP, but it is a bit out of my price range when equipped nicely. I came upon the T400 at school this evening and it fits my budget perfectly- if I understand how the rebates work anyways.

Right now there's a 15% off coupon if you spend over a thousand dollars. I'd also like the student discount. On top of that, bing has 5% cashback. I heard that their rebates don't stack. Is that true? Or can I take advantage of all three of these discounts?

Thanks for the help! If indeed I can stack the rebates and cashback, I'll be ordering one ASAP. I can't believe there's a laptop at that price that fits my needs that well! :)

I'm not sure about the Bing cashback working as I didn't try it, but when I ordered a T410 today from the Lenovo Student/Alumni store with the discounted price there, I used a 10% coupon at checkout and it worked just fine.

Cool! I'll try Bing cashback when I order. I wish I could afford the 410 but it is out of my range...

~$1060 for these upgrades from the base model (+bing 5% cashback?):
    2.8 GHz C2D processor
    W7 Pro 64
    WXGA+ LED lit Display
    Radeon 3470
    4 GB DDR3 ram
250 GB 5400 rpm hard drive
    Intel 5300 WiFi
    9 Cell battery

Simply outstanding. I've not seen a laptop with these sorts of specs, reliability, and build quality at a price like this anywhere else. Now it is time to convince my parents to buy it now so I can pay them back after tax returns... :D :p
