    Hello,

I did a clean install on my T400 using the guides on this forum. It totally improved my performance! However, when I resume for standby/sleep/hibernation/start-up I get a pop-up telling me that I have a "Storage Device Connected". Its coming from the Intel Matrix Storage Console.

Does anyone else have this? What does this mean? Is this a problem?

I only have one hard drive and no external drives connected.

    Thanks!

    same issue here

i think this is caused by swapping between power saving and max performance modes.

One of the things the system does to save power is turn off devices on the PCI bus. after you wake it up, it might re-recognize those devices

I dont think this is a problem

I think turbo memory is the device in question here (not another hard drive)

good point about the Turbo Memory - I think you are correct. Yeah, it doesn't seem to be a problem but it makes me nervous thinking that my hard drive is connecting/disconnecting seemingly at will.
