Max Bright = TOOOO bright after about 30 minutes (never thought I'd write that)

    15/16th Bright = TOOOO dim.

Is there any way to adjust brightness to like 31/32nds?

I had an R61 and had a similar issue. It wasn't that 'Max' was too bright, but if I felt the need to dim it (during an afternoon migraine attack, for instance), the first step down in brightness was too dim.

I played around with the nVIDIA control panel (it has the Quadro NVS 140M) and was able to get more satisfactory results. I think it was the color settings that I tweaked a bit until I found something I could live with! Of course, I screwed it up a few times before that, but thankfully the nVIDIA settings has a 'Restore Defaults' option!

Me again....I just realized two things- the T400 can have integrated or discrete graphics....and the discrete option is an ATI video card, not nVIDIA. Still, if you do have the ATI card, you might be able to access the settings.
