    Hi Guys,

    I got a T400 from work (i know, old, what can I do :( )
I have few question i hope you may help (I've searched before)

    1. I cant find why, but i dont have Bluetooth, can it be ?
does the T400 have version without BT ?
Even on the indicator below the screen i have WiFi and next to it empty space, then the Wireless WAN indicator.

    2. I want to be able to use the trackpad scrolling feature, and the mute, and the FN stuff, most of them doesnt work. What i should install ? so many appz at Lenovo site.

    Thanks!
    P.S, I have Windows 7 Enterprise installed.

1.- If there is no indicator light, your laptop did not come with Bluetooth equipped. It's an optional feature, and most corporate Thinkpads do not come with it.

2.- You'll need the UltraNav driver and the hotkeys driver at least for that. To make things easier, I would install ThinkVantage System Update from Lenovo's website and have it check for the latest compatible drivers. Then, deselect any applications you don't need and have it automatically install all the rest!

If you really want to, you can add a Bluetooth card to the machine but that involves getting a new LCD cable and the BT card itself. More conveniently, there are plenty of USB BT micro-adapters that you can consider.

I mean, unless you specifically need BT, I don't really think that's a valid reason for not getting a machine. The inclusion or lack of BT definitely has no correlation to the age of a laptop for sure: you can still buy every current-gen ThinkPad without BT. A T400 is also still more than capable of handling most people's typical workflows.

    Hi Guys,

    Thanks for the reply.
I know about the BT adapter, i just hoped to make it without using USB port.
    :)
