    Hey guy...

Is it normal that it seems to lag alot when I watch HD video?

Even on youtube.... there is some kind of lag while playing a HD video....

    Whats wrong?

    OS : Vista x64 Ultimate
    RAM : 4gb
Switchable graphic ON... tried with both...

Need way more details. Youtube is nothing like decoding back an x264 mkv, etc. Check your CPU usage...and youtube could be connection related too.

or if youre in power savings mode.

make sure youre not in some lower power mode or else it will stutter and lag; its happened to me.

You can also try to find CoreAVC or DivX codec package. These package really helps with minimizing CPU usage while playing HD contents.
I'm using CoreAVC in combination with KMPlayer on my X200, and I can play 720p and 1080p content smoothly on battery power. I set CPU usage to Lowest in Power Manager as well, and it's all smooth.
I also have no trouble watching HD videos on Youtube.

I would make sure you are not in power savings mode. That slows your CPU and GPU down to save battery. Bad for HD videos.

What video player do you use? Perhaps it is not configured correctly. Also be careful with any codec packs you install. Perhaps it could be your anti-virus, maybe?

My T400 plays HD videos very well.
