I plan on buying the T400 with an SSD and I was wondering if the (64 GB Solid State Drive, Serial ATA [add $424.15]) they are referring to is the Samsung sataII that has been reviewed here and has 100MB/s read, 80MB/s write?

the 424.15 is over the 80 GB Hard Disk Drive, 5400rpm found on the contractor purchase program.

    Thanks

    Jesse

Yes, Lenovo uses Samsung SSDs. The 64GB is the SLC version w/ 100MB/s read and 80MB/s write.

When I looked up the model number for the 64GB ssd in the tabook, it comes out as 43N3400. And it says its a 1.8" ssd with a 2.5" cover. And even on lenovo's website (ThinkPad 64GB Solid State Drive - Overview) its states it as a 1.8" ssd with 2.5" adaptive cover for installation in selected 2.5" ThinkPad hard drive bay.

However, it does state that it is 100MB read/80MBS write
