    Hello all!

After much searching, I've found a solution to lenovo's lack of support for windows xp video drivers.

    1. Download latest driver for the 3400 series on AMD/ATI site.
    2. visit: http://www.driverheaven.net/modtool.php

The rest of the instruction is provided in that URL

Hope this solution helps many frustrated new thinkpad users out there!

    Cheers

according to abc1987: "To switch graphics cards, go to the black plug at the taskbar and click it and then there will be a "Switchable Graphics" option at the bottom. Energy saving for integrated High performance for ATI discrete."

You can only switch back and forth via the BIOS—XP cannot do it on the fly like Vista can.
