    Hi Experts,

I got my T400 with Vista. I downgraded to XP. Everything is working fine except the Audio.

The dvd I used for downgrade is XP-SP3. But when I'm trying to install hte Conexant driver and the prerequisite for that in the lenovo.com web site it is asking me to that the patch I'm trying to apply is old and there is no need to apply for that patch.
With out that patch installed I think I cannot install the Conexant audio driver and i CANNOT GET SOUND.

This is going for the past 2 days. I lost my weekend on this.

But bottom line is I'm not getting Audio.

Please Please Please any help or suggestions or anyone gives me a link and tells me the procedure or if you refer to any thread it will be very helpful to me.

Thanks a lot for looking at my problem.

    Thanks & Regards,
    Satishdsc. :( :(

The patch I'm talking about is the prerequsite for the conexant driver installation 888111.
Which is there in the lenovo website itself.

Here is the Conexant Audio Driver and here is the prerequsite.

I must warn you that the latest audio driver was faulty (at least for my T500) so go read this to fix it.

You should be fine installing the audio drivers without the pre-requisite UAA drivers from lenovo since XP SP3 should include that update by default. UAA was only required for XP SP2 and older service packs.

When you say it doesn't work, that doesn't help shed any light on what the problem may be.
