    Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knew if I can boot from an SD card on the T400. My Device Manager says I have a Ricoh r/rl/5c476 or Compatible cardbus controller. Also, if it is possible, do you think using an SD vs SDHC card would affect it?

    Thanks

You can specify a custom boot device by clicking F8 (possibly F12 on some models) and selecting the card controller. SD/SDHC should make no difference as long as your T400 can read the card (it should have no problem with either, but earlier models e.g. the x60 may not be able to read SDHC as it is a newer spec).

However, if you want to get Linux, Windows, or another OS onto an SD card you are on your own (Google is your friend for this).
