I did a clean install on the T400, and installed all the essential drivers under the SWTools folder, but I am seeing issue with the ATI card not function properly.

After installing from the Videos folder, and rebooted the laptop. There is a warning sign next to the "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3400 Series"

Under Device Status, I see the following error message

"This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)

Click 'Check for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available."

Has anyone seen this error? I already tried reinstalling the driver again, but that doesn't seem solve the problem. In fact, the PowerManager now has trouble switching graphics, with the balloon message "System cannot enable High-Performance Graphics "Close any 3D or video applications and disconnect external displays. The switch Graphics processors."

Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?

Just figured it out. This feature requires Vista SP1.
