My Thinkpad has a Mataa UJ 892 DVD RW in it.

I want to hook up a VHS to the T400 and copy VHS videos to a DVD in the Mataa UJ 892. I've never looked into doing anything like this . . . can someone point me in the direction of where I need to go to learn?

    Thanks,

    Mike

You'll need a way to take the audio and video outs from your VCR and put them into your T400 perhaps via USB or a card into the ExpressCard slot.

Thanks for the replies. Besides NewEgg, there seems to be a bunch of these things available on eBay and Craigslist.

I've come across dedicated VHS to DVD copiers while looking at solutions but since there have been problems in the past (don't know if they still exist) with DVD's and CD's not playing on machines that didn't do the original copy, I'm thinking I'd best stick with the DVD writer in my T400 since I'll know I can at least watch the DVD's on that reader/writer. Hopefully.

Always something new to learn when it comes to technology - even simple stuff like this.

I was watching a video yesterday of the ISS capturing the SpaceX capsule. The laptop visible in the video taken from inside the ISS was a Lenovo T400.
