Quick question about laptop speed. Would it be more beneficial to upgrade from 2.26 mhz 8400 to the 2.40mhz 8600 processor or stay w/ the 8400 and upgrade the HD from the 160 5400rpm to the 160 7200 rpm HD? Does upgrading the HD help quite a bit in loading programs, etc? Thanks

Unless you have a specific need, the hard drive is usually the better upgrade.

why not go for a 200gb 7200RPM drive? Im sure if you looks around you can find it for a good price.

You can get this Hitachi 320 for basically the price of the Lenovo upgrade to 7200rpm and use your factory HD as an external or ultrabay drive
