    Hi,
I'm looking to buy a T400 with a High Nit screen to facilitate work outdoors. Unfortunately they are not available in Europe and so I'd have to order from the US. However all custom built models don't get warranty in Europe - (they DO get warranty in Vietnam, Costa Rica, but NO, not Europe....).
How feasible is it to swap out the screens? If I order the normal LED backlit screen would I just have to swap out the backlighting?
Dorry for this rather ignorant question....
    Thanks to all!

it's not worth it in my opinion. because you would have to get a high nit panel somewhere first of all, and it won't be cheap, that's for sure. i would order it from the us, have it sent to somebody i know in the us and let it check him first (ie, let it benchmarks non stop for two days or so). the money and hassle you save when you buy it in the us is likely to compensate for the missing warranty (most parts can be user replaced anyways).

    just my opinion
