    I have a T400 with the LED screen 42T0497.

Didnt notice this at first, but when I was going to create a new
picture in Paint Shop Pro, when you get the canvas that is the
little grey checkerboard pattern. The top part of the screen is darker
than the bottom. When I create a picture of a solid color its easily
    noticeable.
At first I thought maybe I was at the wrong viewing angle so I moved
around a bit. Didnt seem to change.

I have not had a change yet to change the color profiles yet,
or try outputting it to a another monitor either.

Anyone else have a screen that appears darker at the top than
    the bottom?

    Thanks,
    Sean

This might be a case of back light bleeding. Mine is evenly lit throughout the screen.

    Thanks.
Going to try and drop it off at a service/warranty center and see what
    they think.
I would have not noticed it except when looking at a large image of a
    single color.
