    T400 LG LED screen Question

    For those that have received an LG LED screen, does your laptop include a webcam? My part number in my order confirmation email is 42X6321...is this pretty much a guarantee that I have the Samsung?

    you get a webcam if you order a webcam.

    if youre trying to relate webcam to LG and no webcam to Samsung, I doubt thats how things work. they likely just use whatever supply is available.

    As discussed before, 42X6321 is apparently a placeholder for 14.1" LED backlit screen. I had that code on my order and received an LG screen.

    The initial e-mail I got from Lenovo after placing my order reads:

    1 42X6318 SBB 14.1 WXGA +TFT

    When I received my machine Serial Number (at shipment) the Parts Look up reads:

    42T0497 0000000 14.1 INCH LCD DISPLAY:FLAT PANEL DISPLAY

    I got an LG display. And it is quite nice. I did not get a webcam.

    no web cam here. no bluetooth. cheapest t400 you could possibly get. 825 shipped to my door. LG panel.

    rxblitz, my laptop has similar specs to yours...how is the P8400 processer?

    so did anyone with an LCD LED screen order their laptop with a webcam?

    all i do is Firefox and Word. it's pretty darn overkill for those two apps.

    You have to choose whether you want a webcam or not when you order your laptop. I wouldn't think that would have anything to do with what screen you get.

    Like everyone else said, you have to chose the webcam option in order to get the webcam.
