    Display type
    14.1 WXGA TFT w/LED BL
    14.1" WXGA+ TFT [add $30.00]
    14.1" WXGA+ TFT w/ LED BL [add $80.00]
14.1" WXGA TFT HN w/LED BL [add $150.00]

Can someone help me understand what each of these options really mean? All I know is that the BL is a backlight sitting over top the screen.

Sorry, this is a very newbish question.

Actually the Backlight is underneath (AKA behind) the display, hence the name.

    WXGA = 1280×800 pixels
    WXGA+ = 1440x900 pixels

LED displays are brighter and more energy efficient than standard CCFL displays. The HN or "High Nit" display is brighter still (think direct sunlight) and apparently of much higher quality.

probably in canada where you can order that option, which in my opinion is a total rubbish panel.

here is a pic of thise WXGA+ LED BL (left) vs WXGA HN high nit (right)

Yeah, I'm buying this in Canada, although, which option is best?

    **EDIT**
Off topic, but is the finger print reader useful?

Depends on your goal. I find the fingerprint reader useless. Perhaps others disagree.

Are you sure those aren't flipped? The one on the right seems MUCH brighter and warmer.

Really depends on rather you're using it outdoor or not...if it's going to be staying in a room or somewhere that doesn't have sunlight, then save the money for something else :) Also the fingerprint reader is useless...

indeed they are, my case of left-right confusion strikes again. Fixed the original post now.

as for fingerprint reader, that thing is useless and an eyesore in my opinion.
