From my knowledge the Intel SSD is supposed to be the best one. I hope you'd upgrade the RAM for that price... and the battery

According to the SSD thread, Samsung SLC > Intel MLC.

So T400's SSD is MLC or SLC?
But if I order 4 gb ddr3 kit is only $120sth..
Is T400's RAM installation as easy as other laptops?
Is the 128gbssd= 64gb ssd x2?
So.. there would be 2SSDs inside my laptop, which means heavier?
Just wonder how they can put 2SSDs inside a laptop..(Does the laptop really have space?)
$250 for a SSD is really a good deal(Can I just take one and put it into my destop..?- -")
So...Samsung's SSD has the lowest score..but still faster than intel?
n MtronPro is the fastest?I have never heard of this brand before.. -
These are Samsung SLC drives, from what I've read.
After delaying and going without a laptop for months (sold my 4-yr-old T41), this was the opportunity I've been waiting for. Just jumped on a T400, with:
T9400,
64GB SLC,
LED-backlit screen w/ camera,
2GB (1 stick),
discrete graphics,
bluetooth,
AT&T 3G card,
6-cell battery (should be plenty),
3-year warranty with accidental damage protection.
All of this, for $1436.20 with CPP. Regular price (as if anyone would ever pay it) is shown at $2607.00. If you've been waiting for an SSD, this is definitely the time to buy. With all the other discounts and current pricing available, I doubt it can get much better. -
Hey Ty, whats up man? Hey it's Jamie, check your gmail man. Send me an email, or write me on aim... [email protected]

Someone in the other thread has confirmed that Lenovo is no longer using SLC SSDs for the T series. Samsung MLC drive is still pretty good, probably not as good as Intel MLC, but a lot cheaper.
