When the new T400/T500 T series ThinkPads were rolled out this summer, there was an immediate uproar over the perceived flex in the new ThinkPads. Lenovo lightened the keyboard in an effort to save weight, but this had the side effect of making the keyboard less rigid for some. It was even noted in NBR's T400 review. A firm keyboard being a hallmark of ThinPad design, many customers were unhappy with their new ThinkPads. After much discussion and review, Lenovo has decided to start using the older T61 keyboards in the new ThinkPads. They have also decided to offer replacement keyboards to anyone who would like one. You can use the link below to request an older T61 keyboard from Lenovo. I will be stickying this thread for a while to give those who might be interested in replacement a chance to do so. Hopefully, going forward this will put this issue to bed.
