I was looking at the datasheet for the T400/T500 and noticed something peculiar. For the T500 display it lists the following:

    WSXGA+ (1680x1050, 129dpi, 200+ nit)
    WXGA W/LED Backlight (1280x800, 129dpi, 200+ nit)

Now, for them both to be 129dpi, the WSXGA+ panel would have to be larger, right? Is this a misprint?

The T400 lists the available displays as follows:

    WXGA (1280x800, 98dpi, 185+ nit)
    WXGA+ W/LED Backlight (1440x900, 129dpi, 200+ nit)

    It's a typo. The dpi for a 15.4" WXGA is 98.

That's kind of what I thought. That would indicate that the same size panels are used in both the T400 and T500 for WXGA. However, does that mean the T500 uses a larger panel for the WSXGA+, as it shows the same DPI as the WXGA+ on the T400. Two different size panels available on the T500? Or is that a typo as well?

Would the tabook be the source of truth on things like this?

There are quite a few misprints in there. You should check this DPI chart.

Here is the full crop of current Lenovo DPI.

    17":
    WUXGA (W700) = 133dpi

    15.4":
    WUXGA (W500) = 147dpi
    WSXGA+ (T500/W500) = 129dpi
    WXGA (T500) = 98dpi

    14.1":
    WXGA+ (T400) = 120dpi
    WXGA (T400) = 107dpi

    13.3":
    WXGA+ (x300/x301) = 128dpi

    12.1":
    WXGA+ (x200s) = 140dpi
    WXGA (x200/x200T) = 125dpi

Also, Windows believes all screens are 96 DPI (17" at 1280x1024), and fonts will look a little small on anything with a higher DPI.
