And I'm sure all those students paid for it...directly from their tuition bill.

Actually, I think it kind of sucks if it was required...students should have a choice as to what they purchase.

Drew University is a private liberal arts university in suburban NJ. You can bet they are expensive. ;)

I remember they were proud to be one of the first university to require all students to have computers back in 1994~5 when I was applying. I thought it was kind of gimmicky.

I went to Drew and participated in that handout 13 years ago! Unfortunately, I didn't get a T400 (but I have one now). I think it was a Digital HiNote 486 with 8mb of ram. It was too slow even back then so i remember maxing out the ram 20mb maybe? Adding an external SCSI HD with PCMCIA adapter and getting Windows 95. Oh the days... Drew was / is a great school.

I also learned quite a bit working as a student aide in the technology dept, the people you see handing out the computers. Prepared me more than classes ever did for my current job as the IT director for medium sized company.

Well hopefully they'll be the ones getting all the defective notebooks with the samsung screens, leaving us with high quality parts with LG screens!!!
    Yay!
