I have noticed that while I am unplugged no matter what power setting I use I am loosing about 70 frames per second while playing counterstrike source. I go from getting about 100 fps to struggling to keep 30. Anyone have the same problem? Or better yet a fix?
EDIT: I want to note that I am, in fact, using the dedicated graphics card while unplugged.

It is the graphics card downclocking. It does so to save battery. You can disable powermizer if you have a Nvidia card which may help slightly or roll drivers way back the 176.16 and earlier to prevent the downclock BUT you would lose A LOT of performance.
So it is a normal thing in any notebook. -
Ah poo, I have a ATI 3400 series.

Have you tried setting the power plan to Maximum Performance? There should also be something in CCC to change Powerplay settings. Powerplay is ATI's equivalent to Powermizer.
