For any new T400 w/ discrete graphics owners out there, could you list your specs and post a screenshot of your WEI with the laptop in discrete grapics mode? Thanks.

Why do you need it? WEI is a very inaccurate benchmark (even less accurate than 3dmark...).

Windows Experience Index is a fairly good benchmark. I don't know what you are talking about sefk? It isn't going to tell you (and isn't meant to) how well your game will play Crysis, but rather how your Windows Vista experience will be.

WEI is accurate when your score is good, and it's inaccurate when your score is not good. :D

stewie, wow, right to the point!
I certainly felt that way when the WEI ranked Intel GMA 950 better than nVidia Geforce Go 7200. It is still the case.. how can integrate beat discrete? Beats me.

Ha, it's just a Go 7200, which is barely better than being an integrated card, don't expect any decent gaming from it ;)

Discrete graphics are not guaranteed to be faster than integrated. In fact, I suspect you'll see Intel's latest X4500HD beating quite a few low end dedicated cards.

Okay, so here are the numbers from my new t400, t9600, discreet graphics, 2gb, 250gb 5400rpm.

    Processor: 5.5

    Graphics: 4.6
    Gaming graphics: 4.7
    Primary hard disk: 5.3

    Hope this helps.

For what it's worth, slightly different config:
    T400 P8600, discrete, 3GB, 2550gb 7200rpm (WD Scorpio Black from Newegg):

    Processor: 5.3
    Memory: 5.9
    Graphics: 4.7
    Gaming graphics: 4.7
    Primary hard disk: 5.5

Switching to Integrated graphics results in this change:
    Graphics: 4.1
    Gaming graphics: 3.8
