This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     T400 XP driver install question.

    I was on the phone with Lenovo tech support (insert punchline here) and they told me that if I wished to install xp professional with my own copy of xp that I would have to install each driver manually.

    Thing is, I thought that if you download the Thinkadvantage software first you could just let Thinkadvantage take care of everything automatically.

    Is this the case, or was tech support right?

    I think the technical supporter was right or else the 'clean install guide' on this forum has been there for nothing.
