    Hi folks,

I have a T400 with no WWAN card. Just bought from eBay a Option GTM378. Can i use this card with my T400? If can't, please help me clarify it and give me other suggest. With software is best for this WWAN card, because think that Lenovo software doesn't work with this card.

    Thanks all.

Chances are you CANNOT use it at least without modding the bios. The boot error 1820 comes to mind.

Yes, it does mean that. I have read of bios replacements but I have yet to see any. i

Yes, there is a real risk but is reduced bios if you get the in code.

Where do you get the code. BTW, i think Lenovo is not good when didn't support third-party WWAN card.

You will probably have to hack into the bios file and find edit/add appropriate Id's for the Option wwan card. Look through the web there are numerous websites detailing the process especially for the wlan cards. Yours should be similar but you will probably have to adapt it for the wwan card. Not something I would recommend an average person to do considering the risks associated with trying to flash a edited bios.
