I'm running Win7 on a T400 with switchable graphics - I installed all of Lenovo's official drivers, including Power Manager and the switchable graphics driver. On "power saving", both GPUs seem to remain running as I am getting less than three hours of battery life from a 6-cell. "High performance" gets about the same, with only the ATI card seeming to run (only ATI icon in systray - on power saving, Intel and ATI both display. In Vista and XP (as of two weeks ago), I managed nearly five hours on integrated with the same settings.

Has anyone else had the same problem with switchable graphics in Win7? I know I can change it in BIOS (as I did for running XP), but would prefer to maintain on-the-fly changing capabilities.

Nope I can switch fine, and I can still achieve 8-10 hours on mine. I havent checked wattage yet, but I am still getting good battery life. Have you tried removing and replacing the drivers, and/or checking to see if there is an updated version?

There is a bug where coming out of sleep it uses both GPUs. Just switch back and forth coming out of sleep to fix it.

Running the latest driver per Lenovo's website and System Update.

Will try sleep toggling - thanks.
