    Put in a LinuxLive CD and try to get the files with a SD card or usb drive. Did you try Last Known Good Configuration?

    last known good config wasnt a given option. how do i make a linuxlive cd?

    It's like booting to safe mode, except the last option is Last Known Good Configuration. Download Ubuntu. The installer disc acts as a Live CD.

    somehow lenovo's recovery didnt BSOD on me and i saved my files and just did a factory reset so it worked out in the end. thanks
