If mine did not come with the option all I need is to swap out the bezel? I was looking at another site and they made it seem like all of the T400 models came with a spot to plug in the BT card but just the bezel needed to be changed?

T400 have four screws keeping the bezel in place. If you are confident about disassembly extract the screws and gently pry the bezel off. On the lower left side of the bezel there will be the LCD panel ribbon. If there is a free connector there that is for your bluetooth module. If you do not have it then you may need to purchase the correct FRU/PN LCD ribbon for it.

and yes it might be a good idea to put the LED indicator bezel with a BT symbol on your T400 after installation of your BT module.

One step ahead of you :)

Took off the bezel and yep I do have the bluetooth spot and I see the LED for the blueooth (LED1) so all that I would need is the bluetooth card and a indicator strip?

I really love how the earlier models of ThinkPads are ridiculously easy to maintain. Not sure about the latest T-series but all I know is I am keeping my older models for as long as I can!

Agree!! My first Thinkpad was a 760E I had about 8 years ago.. This T400 was a last min buy I remembered my old Thinkpad and I scored this one for $127 it was sold because it was stuck at the splash screen but I kinda figured it out what it was. It feels so great to be back on a Thinkpad I have 4 other laptops here but they don't compare to the feel of the Thinkpad.
