I noticed on most clean install guides for the T400 the chipset driver is the first item to be installed (which it should be). My confusion, however, is the fact that intel does not yet provide an inf chipset driver for the GM45 (Express 4) chipset yet so what is everyone installing? The link on lenovo's site for intel chipset support is http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-70315 but that file is for the GM965 chipset. The GM965 chipset is not in the T400 so wouldn't installing this driver do more harm than good??

Apparently Lenovo copy and paste's because the driver that gets downloaded does indeed install the chipset driver for the GM45 not the GM965, so all is well.
