    T400 desktop icons screwed on lid close

    i'm running Windows XP. i'm using the dedicated graphics card (ATI). my resolution is currently set at 1440x900. every single time i shut the lid on my computer, my desktop icons get screwed as soon as i open the lid; they get forced into a smaller rectangle, rearranged for me, as if my resolution settings were lower. what can i do to stop this from happening?
